Stargate has entered into a new partnership to recruit skilled mechanics, electricians and tradesmen for scrubber installation on vessels. The new partner is Temika of Greece, a market leader in ship-repair, marine construction and spares supply. Stargate will provide skilled Romanian personnel for Temika’s  scrubber installation programme.

Temika is the first Greek company to carry out full installation and retrofitting of scrubbers on vessels, including installation of scrubbers on sea-going ships while in sail. A team of experienced company supervisors oversee and monitor all installation activities, while all technicians involved in the scrubber programme are fully certified installation have to be fully certified and come with considerable

In future, the scrubber installation project will undertake full installation of the scrubber systems on berth carried out by Riding Teams. Temika’s industry-leading track record in marine construction helps ensure good quality, cost-effective solutions for ship owners.

Stargate Crewing is happy to welcome Seaspan Corporation, a Vancouver, Canada, based owner and operator of container vessels as its newest partner for recruiting Romanian seafaring officers and officer cadets for its fleet.

Seaspan is a global leader in independent containership management and provides many of the world’s major shipping lines with alternatives to vessel ownership by offering long-term leases on large, modern containerships combined with industry-leading ship management services.

According to a Seaspan announcement on Facebook, the company is increasing its manning commitment in Romania and expanding its cadet programme to include Romanian candidates. Induction for Seaspan’s cadet programme is currently under way.

Commenting on the occasion, Stargate Crewing general manager Ionut Rusu emphasized that Seaspan is a definite feather’s in Romania’s cap because the partnership with Stargate would bring considerable opportunities for Romania’s seafaring pool to excel on international waters.

It will also help build a dedicated corps of Romanian navigators, engineers and electro-technical officers in Seaspan, and bring much-needed cadet openings for hundreds of Romanian marine college graduates who benefit from some of the best maritime education in Europe today, Rusu added.

Summer 2018 will be a memorable time for Stargate Crewing because of an important milestone – we moved to our new office and invited our friends and partners to join us in celebrating the event.

Stargate inaugurated its new office on 13 July 2018, moving into a spanking new office for its expanding crew manning operations and growing portfolio of premium clients.

The new building incorporates conference, training and video link facilities, besides offices for the crew department and general administration spread out over three levels. It has a fully furnished and well-equipped training room with overhead projectors and spacious seating arrangements for at least 25 persons.

The inauguration ceremony created an opportunity to invite friends, partners, associates and collaborators of Stargate Crewing to visit Constanta and spend a memorable weekend with us. Guest came from Germany, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, besides a large number of seafarers for the post-inauguration party.

Stargate Crewing is proud to announce new additions to the team in 2018.

Earlier in the year, Bianca Burlacu joined our front office, temporarily, to fill up a vacancy left by one of our colleagues going on maternity leave. Bianca eventually moved to recruitment as Crew Officer where she is looking after Italian accounts and product tankers.

Before joining Stargate, Bianca worked over 10 year for a manning agency set up by a big Italian owner in Romania.

Catalina Cristea joined Stargate in August 2018 as Crew Executive, while also handling Crew Relations from our front office. She has nine years of sea-going experience, having worked on passenger vessels and RO-RO ships for a major ship management brand. Stargate is her first shore-based choice.

We heartily welcome them and hope they scale new heights of accomplishment in their new jobs.
